About Elsewhere
Make room for another way of living and working.
Elsewhere is a research and planning space for experienced creatives considering work and life abroad.
The practical question behind the idea
An opportunity is one part of a larger decision. You also need to consider income, accommodation, working hours, responsibilities, and time for your own practice. Elsewhere brings those questions together so you can investigate a possible life with more clarity.
Designed for portable experience
You might be a designer, writer, artist, educator, researcher, or strategist. You may want a temporary base, a seasonal arrangement, or a longer move. Start with the skills and commitments you already have, and explore arrangements that could suit them.
What you can do here
- Explore five types of work and follow opportunities to their original sources.
- Create Possible Lives: plans combining saved opportunities, budget assumptions, and available time.
- Compare options and use AI-assisted feedback to identify questions and gaps.
- Track your own application progress and next actions.
- Choose whether to share a member profile and connect through contextual messages.
A useful place to begin
Look at the example plan, name a possibility of your own, and add what you know. You can leave questions open and return as your research develops. A completed profile and saved listings are not prerequisites for creating a plan.

Opportunity sources. Recently checked sources are distinguished from unverified leads. A source check is not a guarantee of current availability or acceptance.
Your own decisions. Budget figures are your assumptions. AI suggestions can be incomplete or mistaken. Check permissions, tax, insurance, and local requirements through official sources and appropriate advisers.
Applications. Saving a listing or tracking an application does not send anything to a provider. Apply through the original source unless the listing specifies another process.
Profile visibility. Sharing your member profile is optional. Review the visibility controls before making it discoverable.
